Drive 76 kilometers from Thimphu to Punakha, which will take about 3 hours. In the morning, head to Punakha Valley. En route, visit the 108 stupas at Dochu La pass (3140 m). The Rhododendron Garden in Lam Pelri Park. Lama Drukpa Kuenley built Chimi Lhakhang, popularly known as the Temple of Fertility, in 1499. Afternoon tour of Punakha Dzong, established in the 17th century by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. This Dzong is beautifully situated between the Pho Chu and Mo Chu rivers. In the evening, walk across Bhutan's largest suspension bridge, which spans the Pho Chu River (160 metres).
