As we ascend, the air grows thinner, and the serene silence of the Himalayas surrounds us. By midday, we arrive at the tranquil village of Chhukung, nestled beneath towering ice walls. After a hearty lunch, we make a steep but rewarding climb to Chhukung Ri (5,550m). From the summit, panoramic views of Makalu, Baruntse, and Lhotse unfold in the golden light. By evening, we return to Chhukung and settle into a cozy teahouse, embraced by crisp mountain air and the peaceful beauty of the Khumbu.
