Bardiya National Park is situated in the western plain lands of Nepal on the east of River Karnali and covers an expanse of 968 square kilometers. Bardiya National Park is the largest as well as the calmest and most protected expanse in the Terai. Bardiya National Park is also the habitat of many endangered species. You will be mesmerized by the presence of the Bengal florican, the lesser florican, the Silver-eared mesia and the Sarus Crane at Bardiya National Park. It is also the largest and most undisturbed national park in the Terai region and a haven for nature and wildlife enthusiasts. The park is known for its dense sal forests, grasslands, and diverse wildlife, including some of the most endangered species in the world.

The Bardiya National Park is also replete with open grasslands and meadows and this is one reason why it is the perfect location for game viewing. The Bardiya National Park is also dominated by the Sal forest and has its boundary with the Churia Hills as well as the Geruwa River that is on the edge of west.

REQUIREMENT FOR A VISIT TO THE BARDIYA NATIONAL PARK

The Bardiya National Park can be toured from the months of October through to June. When you go on a tour of the Bardiya National Park, carry a flashlight and warm clothing in the months between November through to February. From April onwards, it is advisable to have on light clothing when touring the Bardiya National Park. It is also advisable to wear pants when you go for elephant rides on the Bardiya National Park. It is important to avoid brilliant colors that might bother rhinos at the Bardiya National Park. Always put on convenient and comfortable shoes that you can walk on while touring the Bardiya National Park. While at the Bardiya National Park it is advisable not to bring along jewelry or costly items. During the warmer months swimming attire can be carried.
