MANAKAMANA DARSHAN: THE HOLIEST TEMPLE IN NEPAL

MANAKAMANA DARSHAN: A HINDU PILGRIMAGE TOUR

Manakamana Darshan is located atop a 1,302-meter hill and can be accessed via cable car. This temple overlooks the fields of the highlands as well as the Trishuli and Manaslu River valleys. From the hilltop, visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of the Manaslu-Himachuli and Annapurna ranges to the north. Dedicated to the Goddess Bhagwati, Manakamana Darshan is believed to have the power to fulfill wishes. It is situated 125 kilometers west of Kathmandu and can be reached on a strenuous three-hour hike from Abu Khaireni.

THE MANAKAMANA DARSHAN CABLE CARS

Travelers can take buses along the Kathmandu-Gorkha highway to reach Manakamana Darshan in about three hours. Alternatively, cable cars from Cheres, located 104 kilometers from Kathmandu on the Pokhara highway, can transport visitors to Manakamana Darshan in just 10 minutes. Each year, countless Nepalese make the pilgrimage to this temple, and many devotees report experiencing success in various endeavors after their visit. The Manakamana Darshan temple is significant to both Hindu and Buddhist followers. The pilgrimage typically spans five days and includes hiking.

THE MANAKAMANA DARSHAN TOUR

The Manakamana Darshan tour begins with a drive from Kathmandu to Kurintar. After reaching Manakamana Darshan, visitors can choose to return either via cable car or bus. Following the temple visit, the group will return to Kurintar and then drive back to Kathmandu. Throughout the tour, participants will be accompanied by an English-speaking guide, and all necessary ground transportation will be provided in comfortable vehicles.

Manakamana Darshan is a spiritual journey to the revered Manakamana Temple, a sacred site dedicated to Goddess Bhagwati, an incarnation of Parvati. The temple is located in the Gorkha district of Nepal, atop a hill at 1,302 meters above sea level. It is widely believed that visiting this temple and offering prayers fulfills the devotees' wishes ("mana" means heart, and "kamana" means wish).
