MAKALU EXPEDITION

The Mount Makalu Expedition is an excursion to climb the fifth highest mountain peak in the world also known as “the Great Black One” because of its pitchy-dark and brooding scenery. The Makalu expedition is one of the most difficult because Makalu is simply not an easy climb. An endeavor to climb Mount Makalu is a demanding and serious engagement and its remoteness and hardship make it a stride above many other 8,000m peaks. The Makalu expedition also involves acclimatization and nature tours to the Makalu Barun National Park. Nonetheless, the Makalu expedition is a relatively less attempted excursion and about 300 or so people have been successful on the Makalu expedition.
